Kodagu (Coorg) the thickly wooded grandeur on the Western Ghats, is the most beautiful hill station of Karnataka.  It occupies an area of 4,102 square kilometres (1.584 Sq. Miles) in the Western Ghats of South Western Karnataka.

As per 2011 census the total population of Kodagu was 5,48,561, of the 30 districts in Karnataka Kodagu is the least populous district in Karnataka.  Kodagu is well known in globe for coffee and its brave warriors.  Madikeri is the head quarters of Kodagu.  Kodagu is the home to the native speakers of Kodava language.
